Getting back to scrapping with a kit called Alice

From Katie Mann Designs this is a few items from a kit called Alice, link included here. This kit was really fun to play with, it includes  16 backgrounds, 3 fabric ruffles, 2 strips of lace, 2 fabric flowers, 5 ribboned rings, 1 eyelet, 1 paperclip, 2 binder clips, 2 bulldog clips, 1 tag, a glittery flourish, and a postage stamp alpha that includes letters (upper and lower on the same stamp) and numbers.


Introducing our newest family member Miss Padme, a bull mastiff puppy. Hubby made the drive from Charleston, SC to Atlanta, GA to go pick her up. We thought on the way down she was about 7 1/2 weeks old, which is still a bit young but ok, however, once he got there it turns out she was only 5 1/2 weeks old and going to a flea market the next day if we didn't take her. The animal lovers in us couldn't take that so she was ushered into a new home with a new job. She is my new Service Dog in training and I hope for great things from her. For now we'll just work on basic  obedience  and getting her past the puppy must teeth and chew on everything stage.

How cute are these baby pictures? I just loved them when the breeder sent them to me and I had to scrap them! Pionus are a great bird and so much fun!

Gwen's Before LO

What did you want for your 5th birthday?
Why pink hair of course! After Mommy &
Daddy talked it over it was decided that
would be ok so long as it was a temporary
dye that would be out of your hair before
Kindergarten started. You were very excited
the night that we dyed it because you were able to
stay up late and watch Daddy play a video game
(at your request). Remember how cool we are now
when you're a teenager,ok my Gwenie?

Miss Purple

So I'm in indulgent parent. For the record I did actually consultant with my husband before I said yes. In fact he helped with the whole thing and thinks that the end result looks cute on her. So here is a nice before shot. How this all came about is that Gwen wanted pink hair, why I am clueless, so we compromised that she could have pink streaks for her birthday. Then Gigi chimed in that she was going to have pink and purple streaks. Hmm, ok. This should be out before they start school. If not oh well. It's not that vibrant or to disruptive IMO.

Sprinkler Day LO's
